Nexon America co-founder and head of Live Games.
As emphasized, you can trick a customer into giving you money once (how many times did you feel like “oh, this game looks neat” before coming to the realisation that it actually sucks ?), but it’s way more difficult tricking him to pay for three consecutive years.
So when developing F2P or subscription-based games, please DO insist on the quality of service you’ll offer your customers.

Wow !! That’s an impressive figure… 5 millions in just one week ?! I mean, yeah it’s pretty understandable, seeing the intensive ad campaign (tried to launch a Modern Warfare 3 video on youtube in the last 3 weeks ? anyone ?) they plugged for the release of the FPS, but five fucking millions ?
Along with the advertising, the laudatory reviews certainly helped. In France for example, the game got 5 stars from Gameblog “a must-have”, and an impressive “to die for” from JeuxActu.
I’m not a big fan of console FPS (except for Halo, but it’s been designed for a console, so the gameplay is really smooth), and am pretty sure I won’t play this one on my Xbox, but might get it for my laptop…
That’s a great news for all our vampire friends (at least the sparkling pieces of shit you can find in Twilight…).
Chinese scientists from the Wuhan University (in collaboration with western scientists from US and Canada) have found a way to create human serum albumin (present in our blood) from rice seeds.
For now, it’s only been tested on rats, and might be used for treating serious burn injuries, hemorrhagic shock or liver disease, seeing that, as of today, the yearly demand is around 500 tons of HSA.

So, next evolution for the vampires… Will they grow chopsticks in place of sharp teeth?
